Buying a Fixer Upper!

I BOUGHT MY FIRST HOUSE!

I’ve always known that I wanted the first house I buy to need a lot of work. Obviously budget is a major factor in that those homes are generally less expensive, but the main reason is that I completely enjoy the process of renovations.

I bought my first house about 2 months ago, and even though the remodeling process is slow-going (as all things construction usually are) I do feel as though major progress has been made.

Transforming the house from the inside out comes with a price of energy, time, money, and effort, but it is SO worth it to me. I love seeing the transformations over time and putting my own touches of character and design into each aspect of the home.

In the couple months I’ve been in this renovation process, I’ve done a lot of demolition, some exterior upgrades, and I’m finally started to rebuild.

In my upcoming blog posts, I will dive into greater detail about what renovating a home looks like, starting with demolition, and what it is truly like to flip a home!

I am so excited to continue on this renovation journey and really appreciate each and every detail of the process :)
